Historic awards win for Amaranth Wellbeing

Bramhall-based Amaranth Wellbeing has celebrated a historic second win of the prestigious Best Independent Retailer Award exactly a decade after it first received the accolade in 2015.

Accepting the award at NOPEX in May was store founder and owner Joanne Hill, who says she and the team feel ‘honoured and thrilled’ to have become two-time recipients.

“This award is particularly special and meaningful for us, as it comes exactly ten years after we first won it in 2015. Like many independents, we’ve faced our share of challenges over the past few years. COVID hit us hard and led to the closure of our city centre store. We’ve also seen shifts in shopping habits and increased competition from online wellness brands. But through it all, we’ve remained focused on delivering exceptional service, honest advice and a carefully curated selection of natural health and wellbeing products. With each challenge, we’ve continued to evolve — expanding our team, deepening our expertise and staying ahead by sourcing innovative, high-quality products. We’ve worked hard to adapt and connect with our customers in meaningful ways, both in-store and online, while also expanding our offering to include treatments and health testing.

“2024 was our best year to date and it feels like the good times are here! Winning this award has given us a real boost, and we’re excitedly making plans for the next ten years. We’re also looking forward to celebrating with our customers and community through a series of events throughout the year.”
